A diverse range of amphiphilic block copolymers can be easily produced using hydrophilic blocks such as polyethylene glycol methacrylate, dimethylaminoethyl or diethylaminoethyl methacrylate and hydrophobic blocks using monomers such as butyl, ethyl hexyl and dodecyl methacrylate.

Various compositions can be synthesised which include di-block, tri-block, gradient, graft and star copolymers. Functionality can also be incorporated on the alpha terminus of the polymer by polymerising from functional initiators. Some examples of added functionality used by Warwick Effect Polymera, are reactive groups such as hydroxyl and dimethylamino or fluorescent dyes such as copper phthalocyanine and disperse red-1.
