Dr. Richard Palmer - Executive Chairman

Richard has over 30 years’ experience of R&D and senior management in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries with Wellcome, Glaxo Wellcome and Alizyme plc.  He is a leading biomedical research scientist and is an Honorary Professor at the University of Warwick.

Professor David Haddleton - Chief Technology Officer

David is Professor of Chemistry at the University of Warwick, where he heads a research group looking into a range of polymerisation chemistries.  He is the founder of WEP based on his discoveries in LRP.  David obtained his DPhil in chemistry from the University of York and after periods of post-doctoral research in Toronto and the USA, he joined ICI’s Corporate polymer chemistry group.  After six years with ICI, he joined the University of Warwick and was appointed to a Chair in 1998.

Dr. Jill Ogden - Vice President Business Development

Jill has over 22 years’ experience in commercial and R&D management in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.  She has spent the last fifteen years in a variety of senior business development and commercial roles in Elan, pSiMedica, Quadrant Healthcare plc and Andaris.  Jill has broad experience in product and technology licensing and has played a key role in the conclusion of a wide range of licensing and other transactions.

Dr. Brian Milligan - Polymer Chemistry Team Leader

Brian joined WEP in November 2008 following a 25-year career in industrial research and new product development.  He gained his PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the Queens University Belfast and worked for 11 years as a Project Leader for Courtaulds Coatings. In 1995 he joined ICI as Project Manager. Brian’s experience spans a wide range of polymer synthesis techniques - taking products from the laboratory through to commercial production.
