WEP’s patent portfolio comprises a series of granted patents and patent applications filed in a broad range of territories.  These provide protection for:

  • Living Radical Polymerisation (LRP) catalyst and process.
  • Polymerisation initiator and use - describes the use of LRP to polymerise from initiators attached to a support via a selectively cleavable link.
  • PolyPEG®  -  describes comb polymers having a polymer backbone and pendant groups, which are capable of binding to biological substances such as proteins, polypeptides, nucleic acids, carbohydrates or fats and the resulting conjugates.
  • GlycoPol™ - describes a range of glycopolymers and methods for adding groups such as sugars or PEG on to a polymer backbone using ‘click chemistry’ and the conjugates produced by binding them to various molecules.
